Xianfeng Liu

Xianfeng Liu, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, is now teaching at the School of Resources and Safety Engineering, Chongqing University. He has presided over 13 national/provincial projects, including the top project, youth project and sub-project of key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published 36 papers as the first/only corresponding author, including 11 ESI highly cited papers and 4 hot papers. Xianfeng Liu mainly researches on coal rock gas dynamic hazards, CO2 geological storage, shale gas extraction, and coal bed methane storage. He has received five provincial and ministerial awards, including the First Prize of Natural Science of Chongqing Municipality in 2023. Selected as one of the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford Elsevier and a Bayu Scholar Young Scholar in Chongqing. He serves as a young editorial board member of the international SCI journal Int. J. Min. Sci. Tech. and secretary of the International Academic Committee of Mine Safety Science and Engineering, a member of the Coal Society, a director of the Chongqing Petroleum and Natural Gas Society, and a long-time reviewer for international journals such as Fuel, Energy, and Safety Science.
