I am Hongwei Mu, an Associate Professor in the Department of Safety Engineering at Qingdao University of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Safety Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. My research is dedicated to the integrated monitoring and early warning of coal-rock dynamic disasters, particularly under coupled static-dynamic loading conditions—a critical challenge in deep mining safety.I established a systematic regional-local collaborative monitoring framework that bridges the gap between localized precursor signals and regional instability patterns. I have clarified the coupling mechanisms of static-dynamic loads inducing coal-rock failure, proposed quantitative criteria for identifying critical early warning indicators, and developed integrated methodologies that have successfully extended rockburst monitoring technologies from coal mines to non coal metal mines, demonstrating their broader applicability.Up to now, I have published 36 academic publications, with 22 SCI/EI indexed papers as the first or corresponding author. I possess more than 15 authorized invention patents and have received several science and technology awards from industry associations.I place particular emphasis on translating fundamental research outcomes into engineering practice, striving to apply monitoring and early warning theories, failure criteria, and integrated methodologies directly to mining sites to effectively enhance dynamic disaster prevention capabilities. Looking ahead, I aim to continue deepening theoretical innovations, expanding the applicability of our technologies to broader scenarios, and through interdisciplinary collaboration, provide more robust scientific support for safe deep-mine operations. I am also keen to engage in academic exchanges and explore potential joint research with international peers in the field of deep mining disaster prevention and mine safety engineering.
