Shan Yin, male, born in 1992, native of Yongcheng, Henan Province. He is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing. His long term research focuses on the theories and technologies for monitoring and early warning of coal mine dynamic disasters. He has conducted systematic research on response laws and monitoring methods of electromagnetic effects, infrared radiation and acoustic emission associated with coal rock failure.Dr. Yin has presided over the Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub projects of the National Key R&D Program of China, two General Programs of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Jiangsu Outstanding Postdoctoral Talent Program, and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. As a key participant, he has taken part in more than 10 national level research projects including the National Major Scientific Research Instrument Development Project (department recommended) and National Key R&D Program of China. As the first or corresponding author, he has published 21 SCI/EI papers in high level domestic and international journals such as Journal of China Coal Society, Chinese Journal of Geophysics, International Journal of Mining Science and Technology (IF=15.9) and Engineering Geology (IF=10.3), including 2 Highly Cited Papers and 1 Hot Paper. He holds 1 US invention patent and 12 Chinese invention patents, together with 8 software copyrights.He serves as an expert member of the 1st Youth Committee of China Occupational Safety and Health Association, and youth editorial board member for journals including Geohazard Mechanics, Safety Science and Technology and Industry and Mine Automation. His honors include the Jiangsu Outstanding Postdoctoral Talent Program, Excellent Master’s Thesis Award of Jiangsu Province, Outstanding Graduate of University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Academic Star for Graduate Students of University of Science and Technology Beijing.
