Wen Nie is Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Deputy Dean of the College of Safety and Environmental Engineering of Shandong University of Science and Technology. He has been recognized as International Outstanding Young Scholar of the Field of mine safety science and engineering, Young top talent of the National High-Level Talent Special Support Program, Shandong Outstanding Natural Science Youth Fund Project Leader, and Taishan Scholar and Young Expert and also has award for Most Cited Scholar of China, the China Coal Youth May Fourth Medal, Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talent in the Field of Mining and Petroleum Safety Engineering of Chinese Colleges and Universities, and China Coal Youth Science and Technology Award. Wen Nie has a long-standing dedication to researching mine ventilation and dust control, managing environmental hazards in mines. He has presided over 17 national or provincial scientific research projects. He also published 104 SCI retrievable papers in international journals and 21 Chinese EI retrievable papers as the sole correspondent or the first author. As the first inventor, he authorized 29 invention patents in the United States and China. Additionally, his relevant achievements have been recognized with 31 national, provincial and ministerial teaching science and technology awards.
