Chaolin Zhang

Dr. Chaolin Zhang is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology, and the deputy director of the Institute of Safety Monitoring and Emergency Management at School of Safety Engineering. He has been dedicated to the research on mechanism and prevention of coal and rock dynamic disasters, safety monitoring and emergency management, artificial intelligence and big data. He has led 6 national and provincial level projects, published over 50 academic papers (2 ESI highly cited papers, 5 CNKI highly cited papers), authorized more than 20 domestic and foreign invention patents, published 1 monograph, and won 2 provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards.

He also serves as a member of the Coal Expert Group Committee of China Energy Society, a youth member of Gas Disaster Prevention and Utilization Professional Committee of China Occupational Safety and Health Association, a scientific editor of International Journal of Coal Science & Technology, the guest editors in chief of Sustainability, and Frontiers in Earth Science, the youth editorial board members of journals such as International Journal of Mining Science and Technology, Journal of China University of Mining and Technology, and Coal Geology & Exploration.
