Ming Qiao
Dr Ming Qiao is a Mining Engineer and Research Fellow at the School of Civil, Mining, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering, as well as at the Australian Research Council - Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Innovative Composites for the Future of Sustainable Mining Equipment, University of Wollongong, Australia. He got his bachelor's degree at China University of Mining Science and Technology, and his doctor's degree at the University of Wollongong. His research area lies in coal mine gas management, mine dust mitigation, and spontaneous combustion control, with a particular focus on computational modelling. In the previous five years, he hosted one Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation-University of Wollongong Joint Project Seed Funding project, and engaged in one ARC project, one CCTEG project, four Australian Coal Industry's Research Program (ACARP) projects, two Coal Services, Health & Safety Trust Projects and 13 industrial projects. He has published 22 SCI-index papers and 7 conference papers.
