Dr. Gang Bai, a professor and doctoral supervisor, is the vice dean of the School of Safety Science and Engineering at Liaoning Technical University. He is a recipient of the China Association for Science and Technology's Young Talent Support Program, a provincial outstanding youth in Liaoning Province, and a young top-notch talent in the "Xingliao Talent Program" of Liaoning Province. He has long been engaged in the research of low-carbon prevention and control theories and technologies for coal mine disasters. He has won 12 provincial and ministerial-level honors, including the National Outstanding Young Science and Technology Talent Award in the Field of Mining, Petroleum and Safety Engineering, the National Coal Industry Advanced Worker, and the Liaoning Youth May 4th Medal. He has presided over 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 4 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and 11 enterprise-commissioned projects. His research achievements have won 11 provincial and ministerial-level awards, and he has published 2 monographs. He has published over 100 academic papers, applied for/obtained 15 patents, and obtained 2 software copyrights. He has drafted 3 industry/group standards and participated in 1 accident investigation. He has guided students to win 3 National Scholarships, 4 provincial outstanding graduates, and 1 Sun Yat-sen Outstanding Student Award.
