The Meeting of International Committee on Mine Safety Science and Engineering

On October 24, at 5:30pm, the Meeting of International Committee on Mine Safety Science and Engineering was held in the 1st Conference Room of Building No. 1 in Xijiao Hotel. Prof. Xuequi HE and Prof. Hani MITRI, the chair and international chair respectively, hosted the meeting. 

There were 13 members of the international committee joined this meeting. Prof. Xueqiu warmly welcomed and thanked to everyone. He said,setting up the International Committee of Mine Safety Science and Engineering aims at establishing a permanent exchange platform for mine safety science and engineering. Then Prof. Hani MITRI appreciated all members for their participation.

As the communication assistant of the committee, Bella STARNINO introduced herself to everyone then invited each member to introduce themselves, in case of everyone can know each other deeply.Then it was voted that the Fifth International Conference on Mine Safety Sciences and Engineering would be held in Katowice, Poland, in August 2020, hosted by Central Mining Institute. Prof. Stanislaw PRUSEK, the president of next conference, gave thanks to all members and then introduced the beautiful city, Katowice, and Central Mining Institute so that each one can have a deep memory of this place where will be held the next conference.

The first international committee meeting of Mine Safety Science and Engineering was held in a great success. We all look forward to the next international conference in Poland and hope it can provide more chances for the exchange of mine safety theories and technologies, which promotes the upgrading of mine safety technology.
